Dinosaur Barbecue, Rochester NY: Monty, Kevin, and Jim flew to Rochester (you never know where you'll find great 'cue) to try this place. Located in an old bus station building, it is a down and dirty honky tonk with Harley-Davidsons out front and some fabulous barbecue inside!!!

Calhoun's Knoxville, TN: Calhoun's is the creation of Sussex County transplant Mike Chase. They serve incredible smoked and sauced babyback ribs and pulled pork. We had a quick intense tour of the restaurant so Mike could share his other passion with us; fishing on the Tennessee River. Jim and Monty both caught big'uns.

Salt Lick Barbecue, Driftwood TX: After a full day of eating barbecue from Dallas to Austin, we found (using G.P.S.) the Salt Lick. With Oyler smokers (like ours) and stone pit finishing grill, the Salt Lick serves the best beef brisket we've ever had. No wonder it was Lyndon Johnson's favorite haunt.

Rudy's Country Store and BBQ, Austin TX: Rudy's combines all the good things in life: a gas station, convenience store, and great barbecue. And, oh yeah, they sell beer to go.

Half Moon Barbecue, Silver Spring MD: Not only do these guys have really good ribs, they have live R & B...Billy Hancock, Nighthawks, etc. All of this on Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring...who knew?

Red Hot and Blue Laurel, MD: Jim's old DC bartender pal, Brian Jefferson (remember the 21st Amendment) serves classic Memphis style St Louis ribs.
